Sterling Silver is composed of 92.5% fine silver and 7.5% copper alloy, added to harden it. Sterling silver should be stored properly and kept from heavy chemicals to keep from tarnishing, but unlike many metals, it can be cleaned and returned to its original shine. Use the most gentle cleaner that can get the job done: Silver can be cleaned with a silver polishing cloth, or gentle all purpose jewelry cleaner. Be sure to protect stones when cleaning silver.

Store in an airtight container such as jewelry box or zip lock baggie while not wearing. When storing long term, make sure to clean and dry thoroughly before storing.
