A shimmering blue/green round opal gemstone dots the center of this wide etched patterned band. Solid sterling silver is detailed with feather patterns either side of the stone and star-shine pattern pattern circles the center. Pattern extends all the way around the band, and is antiqued to bring out the details in the design.

OPAL

Solid opal should be cleaned gently with mild detergent in warm water using a soft brush or cloth. Avoid harsh cleaners and chemicals, and protect it from extreme heat and extreme cold. Store in an environment that has some humidity, as opals can crack if they dry out.

MATERIALS:

Sterling Silver is composed of 92.5% fine silver and 7.5% copper alloy, added to harden it. Sterling silver should be stored properly and kept from heavy chemicals to keep from tarnishing, but unlike many metals, it can be cleaned and returned to its original shine. Use the most gentle cleaner that can get the job done: Silver can be cleaned with a silver polishing cloth, or gentle all purpose jewelry cleaner. Be sure to protect stones when cleaning silver.

If you want your jewelry to last, remember the old saying: “Jewelry should be the last thing you put on, and the first thing you remove”.

Keep it clean by keeping it away from chemicals, lotions, perfumes, excessive humidity, and protect from heavy, hard wearing activities such as sports, heavy work, or vigorous exercise. The main culprits that shorten the life of your jewelry are: never taking it off, wearing it while sleeping, wearing it in hot tubs and pools, and while playing sports. Store in an airtight container such as jewelry box or zip lock baggie while not wearing. When storing long term, make sure to clean and dry thoroughly before storing.
